Colleague: "Celina, can you make it look like people in the Museum’s manuscripts are taking selfies?"
Me: "Why yes, yes I can."

Rashid Rana’s upcoming crowdsourced artwork required the submission of thousands of selfies, which would be compiled into an artwork and premiered at the Aga Khan Museum. To get the public engaged with the selfie campaign, my colleague and I took to social media to spread the word. The Museum’s artifacts were the star of the show, prompting viewers to snap their own selfies and contribute to the cause. Since then, the artist has received thousands of selfies and the piece will be on display in Spring 2022.
