As a graphic designer I commonly work in a two-dimensional space, which is why I am always in awe of 3D printers: they have a whole other dimension to consider! While designing the 3D Studios logo, I wanted to make sure the three-dimensional process was incorporated. The final shape demonstrates the axes necessary to print in 3D (x-y-z). With shading and perspective drawing, the illusion of the third dimension pops out of the page. But my favourite feature? The eye-catching pattern that results from the logo’s repetition.
